Accommodations in Santa Cruz

A block of rooms has been reserved at Hotel Paradox for a discounted rate of $169 on Thursday and $199 on Friday and Saturday. To book these rooms, contact the hotel by phone at (831) 425-7100 and ask for the "SULA Conference Call-In Room Block." The cut-off date for the conference rate is April 4, 2016, after which unsold rooms in the block will be released. Any subsequent reservations will be subject to room availability and published rates.

As Santa Cruz is a beach resort town, there are many other hotels within walking distance of Hotel Paradox and downtown. Some of these may have rooms available at a lower rate than Hotel Paradox. A list of hotels and other local accommodation can be found here.

There may be a very limited amount of crash space available for students presenting at the conference. If you are interested in this option, please contact the conference organizers directly by email: sula9@ucsc.edu.
