Linguistics 115: Syntax V

Winter Quarter 2013

MF 12:30-2, Stevenson Senior Common Room

This is really a group individual study, but I thought Syntax V sounded grand. This will be a capstone-level course in syntax, devoted to the study of ellipsis phenomena. The goal of the course will be to gain an understanding of the range of types of ellipsis processes, the interesting phenomena and theoretical issues associated with them. The work for the course will consist of homework problems, readings, maybe a couple of squibs, and a term paper.
