Syllabus Linguistics 229 -- Morphology Seminar Winter Quarter 2013 Course website: http://babel.ucsc.edu/~hank/229.html TTh 10 - 11:45 PM The Cave Jorge Hankamer Office: 264 Stevenson College Office hours email: hank@ucsc.edu W 10-12 This seminar on Morphology will explore some of the central empirical and theoretical issues in contemporary morphology, particularly those raised within the theoretical framework of Minimalist syntax and Distributed Morphology. We will read some classic studies and a number of more contemporary ones. The work for the course will involve reading, reports and presentations, a squib or two, and a term paper.
