1.  What do you think is the syntax of sentences like these?

(1)  Harvey will feed the pigs if there is enough time.
(2)  If there is enough time, Harvey will feed the pigs.
(3)  I am going to buy that Porsche because I deserve to have a nice car.
(4)  Because I deserve to have a nice car, I am going to buy that Porsche.
(5)  The fees have to increase, since there isn't any other way to get money.
(6)  Since there isn't any other way to get money, the fees have to increase.

In particular, what are 'if', 'because', and 'since'?
Are the clauses starting with 'if', 'because', and 'since'
specifiers, complements, or adjuncts?
